Microneedling in New York City

Micro-Needling

Micro-needling is a minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that helps minimize the signs of aging, as well as reduces the appearance of scars and stretch marks. The SkinPen® micro-needling device causes controlled micro-injuries that stimulate your body’s natural wound healing process.

During your micro-needling treatment, the SkinPen® device, containing 12 tiny surgical-grade needles, will be moved over the entire treatment area. The needles are too small to cause real damage to the skin. Instead, they barely puncture the skin’s surface, creating tiny micro-injuries just deep enough to stimulate your skin’s healing mechanisms.

Professional Treatments

Microneedles trigger the body’s natural skin remodeling process that increases epidermal thickness, stimulates the extracellular matrix and reduces inflammation. Translation: Microneedles fool your body into sending more restorative collagens and elastin than the area needs.

HOW

How often should Microneedling be done?

Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks as needed. Results should gradually develop over a few months. You may notice that your skin appears clearer, more even-toned and that your blemishes lighten or fade away entirely. Collagen induction requires at least 3 treatments, while scar reduction requires between 3 and 6. The number of treatments needed depends on individual cases.

What are the side effects of Microneedling?

The most common side effect is minor skin irritation immediately following the procedure. You may also see redness for a few days.

Client

After repeated years of exposure to environmental factors like sun damage, cold temperatures, and dry winds – the skin will start to show the effects.
